I hope that everyone has had a great week! ?Here is a glimpse of what has been happening around here:
Sewing
Last Friday was my day off, so I took advantage of the time to discover a new local fabric store: WebFabrics. ?This store, which was recommended to me by Jennifer at The Underestimated Mom, was fabulous. ?Every time that I turned a corner, there was something new and beautiful to look at. ?There will be many more trips there in the future!
I also finished three new projects to be listed on the shop ? let me know which one you like best!

Books
This week, I reviewed MWF Seeking BFF ? which is a great read! ?I am looking forward to attending my first local book club at One More Page Books this coming Tuesday. ?We will be talking about March by Geraldine Brooks. ?After loving The Lost Summer of Louisa May Alcott, I?m looking forward to another book in the Little Women realm.
I am also excited about seeing Kristin from Kritters Ramblings again, and meeting Jenn from Jenn?s Bookshelves for the first time!
Cooking
A few weeks ago, a fellow Tae Kwon Do mom was browsing on Pinterest during class. ?Pinterest is the perfect conversation starter! ?We chatted about our favorite types of pins, and she introduced me to the website A Year of Slow Cooking. ?I have been looking for new chicken recipes for the crockpot. ?This week I tried the Crock Pot Cream Cheese Chicken recipe. ?This is the first time that I have tried cooking chicken in the crock pot, where it didn?t turn out dry. ?The recipe might need a little extra kick for next time, but it was really good!
Home
I have a new office chair! ?Small compared to home decorating and accessories projects that I have done in the past, I know. ?But when you?re planted in one spot for 9+ hours a day, you want to be as comfortable as possible. ?Bonus points for the ?old? chair moving to the sewing room to replace the wooden folding chair that offered no comfort!
Family
Only a few short weeks until we have visitors again! ?My husband?s sister and family will be here for spring break and we?re planning on rolling out the red carpet and showing them all that D.C. and Northern Virginia have to offer!
?
I hope that everyone has a great week!
